HONORS AND AWARDS

 

2007 Outstanding Work of Children’s Literature

A statewide award presented every two years by the New Hampshire Writers’ Project (NHWP) to a book considered to be the best contribution to children’s literature by a writer associated with or living in New Hampshire.  Founded in 1988, the NHWP brings together nearly 800 writers, readers, editors, agents, and publishers of all genres.                                                                               

 

2002 Nonfiction Work-in-Progress Grant

A national research award presented each year to an individual author whose nonfiction work shows unique promise for contributing to the field of children’s literature.  The award is presented by the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, the world’s largest professional organization devoted to the support and development of writers and illustrators for young readers.
